Villandry was one of the many chateau's in the Loire Valley I visited, but it was by far my favorite....just because of the gardens! I couldn't imagine keeping these gardens in the condition they were. I'd probably cry if I was given that job... (props to the gardeners in charge of maintaining them!) =)
I couldn't have asked for a better setting for these pictures than Villandry. The whole outfit fit in the atmosphere a lot better than I pictured it would. Too bad we don't have 13th and 14th century chateau's in California...I'd be visiting them a LOT.
